01Golava is not a bookmaker
- 1.1
Golava is not a bookmaker and does not accept bets. We do not act as an intermediary for bets, we do not recommend specific bookmakers and we have no partnerships with them.
- 1.2
The service is only for persons over 18 years of age.
02Probability is not certainty
- 2.1
Predictions are probabilities, not certainties. When we show 70%, it means that in similar matches this result occurred roughly 7 times out of 10. So three matches out of ten end differently.
- 2.2
Past accuracy is no guarantee of future results. The backtest shows how the model would have performed on matches that have already been played; future matches may turn out differently.
- 2.3
No prediction guarantees a profit. If you bet, be prepared for the possibility that you may lose money.
03If you bet
- 3.1
A few simple principles:
- Bet only with money you can afford to lose.
- Decide in advance how much money and time you want to spend, and stick to it.
- Do not try to win back money you have lost.
- Betting is not a way to earn money or to solve financial problems.
- Do not bet under the influence of alcohol, when stressed, or when you are sad or angry.
- Take breaks and use the tools offered by bookmakers: deposit limits, time limits and self-exclusion.
04Warning signs
- 4.1
Be careful if you:
- bet more or for longer than you intended,
- try to win back what you have lost,
- borrow money or sell things so that you can bet,
- hide your betting from those close to you,
- think about betting all the time, even at work or at school,
- feel restless or irritable when you are not betting,
- neglect your work, family or friends because of betting.
- 4.2
If you recognise yourself in any of these points, you are not alone. Help is available and the problem can be addressed.
05Where to find help
- 5.1
If betting stops being fun, talk to someone you trust.
- 5.2
Where you can turn:
- Helplines and self-exclusion registers by country – free, confidential contacts in the UK, Ireland and other countries.
- Gamblers Anonymous (opens in a new window) – international self-help groups.
- Your general practitioner, a psychologist or a psychiatrist. Gambling addiction is treatable; outpatient clinics and addiction treatment centres can also help.
- In Slovakia, you can ask to be entered in the register of excluded persons kept by Úrad pre reguláciu hazardných hier (Gambling Regulatory Authority). Licensed operators must then not allow you to play.
- 5.3
If you are in an acute crisis or in danger, call the emergency number 112.
06What we do
- 6.1
We show missed predictions as prominently as correct ones. We do not promise winnings and we do not display bookmaker advertising. Predictions always carry the 18+ label.
